Inclusive Innovation
Much of the literature on Innovation focuses on the ways in which elements in ecosystems drive change. While much has been written on technology driven innovation, it is important to also recognize process driven innovation. For example, game changers like Uber and AirBnB, are built on relatively simple technologies – it is the business model that created disruption. Inclusive innovation recognizes that digital innovation and the ICT sector is very important but that all sectors including the public sector have potential. Understanding how change occurs at the systems level and the issues of scaling small project is one of the major challenges in understanding innovation systems.
